The staff agency Nautic Jobs, located in Sliedrecht continues to grow. Since May of this year, a new division for towage and multicats has been set up under the management of Dave Paul.

At age 18, Dave Paul was already a seaman working on board tugboats. He was involved in various dredging projects worldwide, including the construction of the Öresund tunnel between Sweden and Denmark. As multicat master, he has sailed all over the world for various companies including Boskalis. In this capacity, he regularly provided on-board training to aspiring captains.

Nautic Jobs brings contractors and candidates together within various fields of activity, including dredging, the offshore wind industry and the whole maritime sector. The company is now expanding further by targeting towage and multicats. Cor Volker, owner of Nautic Jobs says: “In Dave we have recruited a man experienced in practical situations. He always wants to have the right man or woman in the right place. Towage involves a lot of ad-hoc work, and sometimes this means going on board as early as the next morning, which means reacting quickly. In the current market, fast availability for contractors is of prime importance.”

Dave Paul: “I am pleased to have been appointed to the Nautic Jobs team. Not only I, but also Cor and colleague René are people who have practical experience and we all talk the same language as our contractors. We really would like to make contact with mariners, including captains, mates, and seamen with towage and multicat experience.”

At Nautic Jobs, the interests of the individual are central. The company is certified to the latest standards, including ISO 9001:2015 and NEN4400-1, and also satisfies the requirements stipulated in the international Maritime Labour Convention (MLC), which monitors the working conditions and provisions for seamen.
