Personal data we process
Nautic Jobs B.V. processes your personal information when you use our services and/or you give us your personal data.

Below is an overview of the personal data we process:

  • First and last names
  • gender
  • date of birth
  • address
  • telephone number
  • e-mail
  • bank account number

Other personal data you actively share with us by:

  • sending us your CV
  • creating a profile on this website or in our app
  • information about your work activities in our app
  • correspondence and telephone

Special categories of personal data
Our website, app, and services do not collect personal data from special categories such as religious affiliation, sexual orientation, medical information, and photos intended for identification.

Our website, app, and/or services do not collect special categories of personal data about website visitors younger than age 16 except with the permission of a parent or guardian. However, we cannot verify whether a website visitor is older than 16. We advise parents to be aware of their children’s online activities to prevent data being collected on children without parental permission. If you are convinced that we have collected the personal data of a minor without permission, please contact us via p.torn@nauticjobs.nl and we will delete this data.

The purpose and legal basis of our processing of personal data:

processing and payment of your salary
to telephone or e-mail you if necessary to perform our services
to offer you the opportunity to create an account on our website and/or in our app
Nautic Jobs B.V. also processes personal data when we are legally required to do so, for example the data we need to report payroll tax

Automated decision-making
Nautic Jobs B.V. does not make any decisions through automated processes on matters that could have considerable consequences for persons. This includes decisions made by computer programs or systems, without human intervention (e.g. an employee of Nautic Jobs B.V.).

How long we retain personal data
Nautic Jobs B.V. retains your personal data no longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data was collected. We do not do this without your express written permission.

Sharing personal data with third parties
Nautic Jobs B.V. shares your personal data with various third parties when necessary for the execution of the agreement and to meet any legal requirements. We have a data processing agreement with companies who process your data on our behalf, to ensure an essentially equivalent level of protection and confidentiality of your personal data. Nautic Jobs B.V. remains responsible for this processing. Nautic Jobs B.V. also shares your personal data with other third parties. We only do this with your express permission.

Nautic Jobs B.V. does not use cookies or similar technologies.

Accessing, rectifying, and deleting personal data
You have the right to access, rectify, or delete your personal data. You can do this yourself via the personal settings in your account. You also have the right to withdraw previous permission for personal data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by our company, and you have the right to personal data portability. That means that you can submit a request to us to send your personal data in a computer file to you or another organisation you appoint. Mr P. Torn is the Data Protection Officer for Nautic Jobs B.V. If you wish to exercise your right to object and/or your right to data portability or if you have other questions/comments about personal data processing or data subject access requests, please send a specific request to p.torn@nauticjobs.nl. To ensure that the request for access was made by you, we ask you to include a copy of your proof of identification with the request. Before sending the picture of your ID, block out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Dutch national identification number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. Nautic Jobs B.V. will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but certainly within four weeks.
